She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Ohio University. She went on to graduate from Marshall University with a master’s degree in counseling. Ashley started her career as a teacher counselor at a level III residential treatment facility for troubled youth, ages 12 - 18. Over the course of nine years, she was promoted to various leadership positions until she eventually became the program director. During that time, she also provided therapy for clients ages 12 - 18 and part-time emergency services evaluations for adult and child patients in crisis. Upon leaving the residential facility, she became a clinical supervisor for a community-based program called Safe at Home, working with children and families. In September 2022, she joined Ritchie Regional as a behavioral health therapist, serving clients ages 5 and above. She rotates locations between Harrisville Elementary, Creed Collins Elementary, Smithville Elementary, Ritchie County Middle/High School, Belmont Elementary, and St. Marys Elementary, where she offers individual and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. When school is not in session, she serves clients at RRHC Harrisville Campus. Ashley also obtained her ‘Approved Licensed Professional Supervisor’ (ALPS) credential. This gives her the ability to provide post-graduate degree supervision to candidates wishing to pursue professional licensure to become a Licensed Practical Counselor. She enjoys the company of her daughter, two dogs, and three cats in her free time. She is always up for any water-based activity and is interested in music, traveling, and true crime podcasts. |
